OneRoster facillitates access to the resources needed for teaching and learning. To this end, in the
object definition for a resource the property vendorResourceID provides a link to the resource in
question.
In OneRoster 1.1, this MUST be associated to a class or course. OneRoster 1.2 introduces the ability to
do this link at the user level for more personalized access to resources for individual students.
In the context of the IMS Ecosystem this is a pointer to the actual resource as defined within a Content
Package/Common Cartridge/Thin Common Cartridge. The value for the vendorResourceId MUST have
the same value as the identifier for the actual resource in the Package/Cartridge. It is the responsibility of
the learning/content management systems to be able to reconcile this identifer mapping.
